Tito’s Handmade Vodka is produced in Austin at Texas’ oldest legal distillery. It still made it in batches, use old-fashioned pot stills and every batch is still tasted individually to make sure that only the best vodka arrives in the bottle. Tito's Handmade Vodka was founded by Tito Beveridge in 1997, in Austin Texas. Tito built Texas’ first legal distillery on 12 acres of land in south-east Austin, which he bought with a credit card. Tito Beveridge starting flavouring Vodka as a hobby pursuit in 90s, he sold them as gifts to friends but found resistance in getting his vodka into traditional retail shops. He was advised at the time to create a Vodka smooth enough to be drank straight and went ahead and achieved just that. In 2001 Beveridge got his first break and also made his first profit. Tito took part in the World Spirits competition in San Francisco and won. Tito's Vodka is made from yellow corn instead of potatoes. It is naturally gluten free and certified Gluten-Free by the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG).
In 2017 Titos became the Top Selling off-trade Spirit in the US, surpassing Smirnoff and Jack Daniel’s and in 2019 Tito's vodka recorded volume sales of over 8 million cases sold. Apart from the global acclaim for smoothness and for supreme quality Tito's is also involved in numerous philanthropic activities all over the globe, such as ‘block to block’ community in Los Angeles. Tito's s company helped people with their gardening and instilled skills to upkeep their gardens and be self-sufficient, in addition to offering advice on gardening and also healthy eating options. More recently Tito's vodka distillery produced hand sanitizers for the Covid front liners in the USA. They are teaming up with the Seattle Mariners to give away 18,000 bottles of sanitizers to the Seattle community for free. They also gave about 24,000 bottles of sanitizers to the Miami district. On a separate but equally important project, they teamed up with the ‘Ocean conservancy’ to protect the the ocean from today greatest challenges. Titos were involved in the ‘trash free seas’ program to eliminate plastic from the Oceans. This initiative removed more than 20 million pounds of trash from beaches and waterways.
