Discover a captivating fusion of coastal smoke and fruity brightness with Nikka Yoichi Aromatic Yeast 2022. Featured in Nikka’s celebrated ‘Discovery Series’, this limited-edition single malt showcases yeast strains that generate vivid fruity notes within Yoichi’s traditionally peated, coal-fired character. Bottled at 48% ABV without chill-filtration, it greets the nose with aromas of crisp green apple, zesty grapefruit, and orange blossom, gently wrapped in salty maritime smoke and earthy peat. On the palate, a vibrant wave of juicy stone fruit and citrus is harmoniously balanced by oily smoke, toasted oak, and peppery spice, finishing with a lingering, briny warmth. Savor it neat or with a splash of mineral water to release its layers. Presented in a 70cl bottle, this 2022 edition is a must-have dram for discerning Japanese whisky enthusiasts.
