The production area of the DOCG wine “Asolo – Prosecco” is located north of Venice, in the Province of Treviso, on the hilly areas consisting of Montello and Colli Asolani, between Nervesa della Battaglia to the east, and the town of Fonte to the west. These are two almost separate hill systems, characterized by an altitude ranging from 100 to 300 meters above sea level, whose landscape, a highly distinctive element, presents a strong integrity and a position with slopes and curves that give it sweetness and harmony, generally less impervious than the production area of Valdobbiadene DOCG.

Hints of ripe fruit and citrus fruits such as citron and lemon accompany the classic green apple notes of the Glera vine. The perlage, a distinctive feature of the company brand, is also in this case fine, creamy and persistent. An ideal aperitif glass, excellent with appetizers, it goes well with any dish, depending on the sweetness desired, even some fish.

These are new vineyards for Andreola, who was not present in this region. Asolo has a rich and complex history. With the Latin origin of the name Asolo, which for the Romans was Acelum, and the hilly nature of the territory and in particular the hill on which the Rocca d’Asolo stands (the Indo-European root -AK in fact means “sharp place”).

The climatic peculiarity of the territory consists in a succession of mild springs, not too hot summers and autumns that are again mild thanks to the favorable southern exposure of the vineyard slopes and the conformation of the reliefs that are arranged orthogonal to the cold winds coming from the North-East. Summer temperatures have average values of 22.6 °C with maximum values in July. Autumns are warm and dry thanks to the presence of breezes and strong temperature ranges between night and day.
The pedogenetic layer has given rise, especially on the Montello, to frequent cavities in the soil of different sizes that also act as an underground drainage system. The hills are composed of large formations of tenacious conglomerate formed by rocks cemented together and covered with marly-clayey or marly-sandy soil that is easily workable and disintegrated by atmospheric agents, with a typical red color that testifies to their ancient origin. The soils are on average quite decarbonated and acidic, medium deep, with a good water reserve capacity and a good mineral endowment.

At the consortium level itself, the important work of zoning the various terroirs that distinguish the ancient production area of the Valdobbiadene DOCG has not yet been done. However tudies are ongoing on the conditions of very ancient soils to obtain moderately tasty and fresh wines, and futhur research into marking finesse that limestone tends to bring and enhance in Valdobbiadene DOCGs.

Recommended serving temperature 6-8°C.
100% Glera graps.

L’Etichetta del Fondatore is a sparkling Spumante wine with unique characteristics that was born as a further selection of one of Andreola's most representative wines : namely Dirupo Brut Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco.

The sparkling wine has a light yellow colour with greenish reflections; the bubbles are thin, numerous and continuous, the foam is creamy. This sparkling wine represents his personal vision of the maximum level of quality that the Valdobbiadene Prosecco denomination is able to give to the grapes, expertly processed in the cellar in the footsteps of his teachings. The arduous selection takes place within disparate territorial situations that give the base wines very different characteristics from year to year, depending on the climatic variables that can influence the quality of the grapes. One can see the elegance of the sandstone, the finesse of the limestone or the depth of the marl alternate as protagonists. This spumante represents the maximum expression of olfactory finesse and elegance that Glera can give in a large territory, without ever losing the pleasantness and delicacy of drinking. Spring blooms of wisteria and hawthorn anticipate hints of pear, apple, white peach and notes of pastry on the nose. The sip is full, rich and persistent, with a savoury finish. This is the elite sparkling wine, a refined aperitif glass and ideal in combination with fresh fish dishes.

With the Founder's Label, Andreola wants to demonstrate the strength of a large territory, implementing a further selection within a large grape harvest basin, free from a single and limited area of origin. Technically this means that this is not a Prosecco, but we put it under Prosecco for convenience sake. One could consider this to be a Super Prosecco, along the lines of the Super Tuscans :). This elevates this product every year, mitigating the effects that the vintage variables have on the individual plots and always ensuring an excellent drink.

90% Glera, 5% Bianchetta, 5% Perera.

Andreola has invested heavily in the Valdobbiadene area and is privileged to be able to pick and choose from 15 municipalities that make up the denomination. Before proceeding with the creation of this exclusive blend, the founder Nazzareno Pola each year chooses the vineyard that has impressed him most for its pleasantness and elegance and consequently the base wine is kept isolated. Within the territory, there is a notable diversity in the conformation of the soils, the layers and the variety of minerals they contain: in fact, we go from calcareous marls, sandstones and rocky conglomerates to much more evolved and deep soils such as the Feletti.

In this succession of highly variable conditions, there are vineyards that have been planted in areas ranging from an average altitude of about 200 meters above sea level up to touching some of the most extreme points for the cultivation of the vine at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, where every single operation must be carried out by hand. The high altitude involves conditions of steep slopes: this is why the viticulture that embroiders these hills, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is defined as “heroic”.

Mas De Fer is a Valdobbiadene DOCG made with grapes from vineyards on approximately five hectares of Col de Fer and San Gallo, two small peaks of the same hill in the Rive di Soligo area at 300 to 500 meters above sea level, on the very edge of the area dedicated to the cultivation of Glera grapes. The highest expression of Valdobbiadene DOCG. The Rive Line line comprises five sparkling wines featuring the qualities typical of Andreola.
The aroma descriptors typical of the zone are
white flowers, ripe fruit salad and citrus fruit, together with an underlying hint of green apples.
The colour is straw yellow with elegant pale green highlights. Mas de Fer boasts subtle bubbles that rise copiously to form a luscious froth that remains on the surface. In the mouth it releases a pleasant crisp sensation, and the balance of sweet and savoury, bitter and spicy is perfect. Ideal as an aperitif, it goes well with cheese, cold cuts, fish, white meat and Oriental specialities.

Growing conditions involving constant slight stress, with roots growing right into the rock, produce characterful sparkling wine featuring complex flavour.
Delicate and lean, features specially brought out in the Extra Dry version. The verticality and tension typical of grapes grown on this hill ensure a pleasant, dry finish. The grapes harvested in this area contain more aroma precursors (due to elevation and temperature excursions), which in the case of monoterpenes achieve peaks almost twice the average for the denomination. However, compared to the Col San Martino zone, the Soligo zone, which occupies the eastern part of the denomination and is a single vineyard with a south east aspect, benefits from slightly higher temperatures that considerably increase the quantities of norisoprenoids and benzenoids.
It is therefore no surprise that the resulting sparkling wine is full-bodied and delightful and boasts agreeable finesse on the nose.

This vineyard, located in the southern-most portion of the chain of hogback hills between Vidor and Vittorio Veneto, is distinguished by calcareous conglomerate rocks that create a south-east facing single, straight, steep slope. The soil in the lower section differs from that higher up, according to depth (40-50cm – Marcuola Soil – to over 100cm – Collalto Soil), a direct consequence of elevation and erosion, and therefore provides the roots with different amounts of nutrients and water. The origins and formation of the parent material are the same as those in the production zone of our Rive di Col San Martino: it is in fact just a few kilometres to the east, as the crow flies, of the same hogback system.

The inclination of the slopes means they receive maximum sunlight, which creates milder autumn and spring temperatures, just right for Glera grapes. The area boasts some of the highest temperature excursions, also due to the elevation and slope of the hills that determine airflow. As this is a single vineyard, the conditions differ from those in the Col San Martin terroir due to the absence of rocks less resistant to erosion, such as calcareous marl; the soil comprises continuous alternating layers of gravel and compact polygenic conglomerates.

Recommended serving temperature 6-8 °C.
100% Glera.
'Charmat method’ with base wine maturation in steel for at least 6 months and an additional aging in bottle for between one and three months.

Format :

ABV : 11.5%

Dirupo Brut is a Spumante Valdobbiadene DOCG made from grapes grown in the heart of the historic Valdobbiadene DOCG (Prosecco) zone. The colour of Dirupo Brut is soft yellow with greenish highlights, the perlage is fine, copious and lingering and the froth creamy. The scents evoke spring blooms such as hawthorn and acacia blossoms, delicate citrus fruit and a hint of fresh fruit (green apples, peaches). In the mouth it is generous and flavourful, energetic, but delicate and rounded. Ideal as an aperitif and with fish and white meat.

The ‘Charmat method’ in which the secondary fermentation takes place in large stainless steel tanks rather than in each individual bottle. This is Andreola's heart land, that allows them to create this exclusive blend from numerous vineyards within the 15 municipalities that make up the denomination.

The terrain is made up of very different conformations and layers with a variety of minerals, including calcareous marl, sandstone and conglomerate rocks, as well as more mature and deeper soil. The vineyards experience variable conditions in zones going from an average elevation of approximately 200 meters to areas where the conditions for growing vines are extreme, at an elevation of 500 meters, and every single operation must be carried out by hand. Because of the steep slopes viticulture in these UNESCO World Heritage Site it is sometimes defined as heroic. The vineyards on the steepest slopes require strenuous manual labour all year long. Mechanised means cannot be used, so the wine can literally be considered ‘hand-made’.

The union of the different conditions produces wine that is complete, well-balanced and pleasant. The elegance of sandstone, the finesse of limestone and the depth of marl come together in this blend to make a wine that has become a symbol of the quality Andreola is renowned for.

Recommended serving temperature 6-8 °C.

100% Gleara graps. A good all-rounder, 26° 1° is ideal for serving as an aperitif or with a rich buffet presenting cheese, cold cuts, raw or fried fish, and typical traditional cuisine. Look for peaches, wisteria and white flowers, together with an underlying hint of green apples. A great Spumante.

26 ° 1° Rive di Col San Martino Extra Brut is a Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG Spumante that represents Andreolo perfectly. Col San Martino is home to the main facilities, where the story of Andreola began. The grapes for 26° 1° are selected within the boundaries of our original estate: approximately four hectares of steep slopes at an elevation of 300 to 500 metres in the heart of the Rive di Col San Martino denomination, dotted with 100-year-old vines and small percentages of indigenous varieties, such as Bianchetta, Perera and Verdiso. Additionally, this wine, named to celebrate the occasion, marks the handing over of the baton by founder Nazzareno Pola to his son Stefano on the company’s 26th anniversary, which coincided with the establishment of our Conegliano-Valdobbiadene DOCG denomination. Initially a standard Valdobbiadene DOCG, as soon as possible after the official introduction of the Rive di Col San Martino category, Andreola claimed 26° 1° as part of that category, to restrict its production and link it to this fantastic terroir, the grapes from which provide distinctive characteristics to this wine.

This zone corresponds to the southerly most portion of the hogback hills running from Vidor to Vittorio Veneto and features rises on calcareous conglomerate rocks that create straight, steep slopes. The soil types differ according to depth, elevation and erosion, which affects the nutrients and water supplied to the roots. The main valleys cutting across the chain of hills may contain less common soil, deep seated and distinguished by fine textures and a lack of skeleton, comprising a preponderance of calcareous marl very different from that in the hills. The elevation and slopes typical of the area include it rightfully in the extreme viticulture conditions known as ‘heroic’.
In the steepest vineyards, a lack of rain, even for limited periods, may cause the vines to suffer due to scarce soil and excessive drainage. The slopes are so inclined as to receive maximum sunlight, which creates milder autumn and spring temperatures, just right for Glera grapes. The area boasts some of the highest temperature excursions, also due to the elevation and slope of the hills that determine airflow.

Growing conditions involving constant slight stress, with roots growing right into the rock, produce characterful sparkling wine with complex flavour. The resultant wine strong points are a full body vertical flavour, without forgoing the finesse and elegance typical of Glera grapes, here at their very best due to the calcareous soil.
Within the denomination, the Col San Martino terroir is distinguished by the aroma precursors in the grapes (due to elevation and temperature excursions), which in the case of monoterpenes achieve peaks almost twice the average for the denomination. It is therefore no surprise that the resulting sparkling wine boasts pleasantly intense finesse on the nose.

Recommended serving temperature 6-8°C.
